Job Title: Truck Driver

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver. The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations, ensuring that all shipments are handled with care and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate trucks (including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or other assigned vehicles) to transport goods to specified locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured for transport
- Follow route and delivery schedules, using GPS or other navigation tools as needed
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the fleet manager
- Comply with all traffic laws and federal/state regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) rules
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and fuel consumption
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, maintaining communication with dispatch and logistics teams
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Adhere to company safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
Qualifications:
- License to drive heavy trailers
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle (if required)
- Familiarity with GPS devices and truck-driving best practices
- Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo, if necessary
- Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety requirements
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
- Experience with long-haul or regional driving
- Endorsements for hazardous materials (HazMat), tanker, or double/triple trailers
