Woods & Co Recruitment is assisting a sustainable paper packaging manufacturer seeking a dedicated packaging specialist who has worked with industrial machinery to join the team. As they grow their client base and demand product demand increases they are seeking an on-site technical expert to oversee the packaging production.We are looking for a Technical Packaging Expert who is proficient in die-cutting, printing, box forming, and cup forming. The role is crucial for maintaining product standards and operational optimisation.

What do you do?

• Manage and maintain packaging equipment, including die-cutting machines, printing presses, box formers, and cup-forming machines.
• Conduct regular assessments and fine-tuning of machinery to improve performance, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to packaging machinery, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
• Implement and oversee testing protocols for packaging processes to ensure quality standards are met, including print quality, structural integrity, and functionality of packaging products.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations, addressing any issues related to packaging performance or material specifications.

What do you need?

• Strong knowledge of packaging design, materials, testing, and manufacturing processes.
• understanding of the packaging manufacturing processes.
• Understanding off machines (steel, hydraulics, compressed air, timing belts, VFD and electronics)
• Experience in leading a team.
• Ability to speak Mandarin HIGHLY favourable.
• The ability to work autonomously.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Exceptional time management skills.
